SF Marathon, CA Garlic Festival, Bark at the Park, San Carlos R.I.B Fest and more!

This weekend get ready to feel the ‘runner’s high’, because the 2023 San Francisco Marathon is almost here. This year, the San Francisco Marathon celebrates its 46th Anniversary on July 23, 2023. Help us honor the rich history of runners who have made this race such an iconic part of the community since the initial running on Sunday, July 10, 1977. Check out their website for more information on routes, challenges & street closures.

 

2. Alameda Rock & Roll Flea Market

A celebration featuring 100 vendors indoor & outdoor, selling records, music memorabilia, musical instruments, vintage clothing, tiki/Hawaiian, handmade jewelry & gifts, books, videos, and much more! Join Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Faction Brewing in Alameda.

 

3. Benicia Waterfront Festival

The First Street Green along the picturesque Benicia waterfront will be the site of a two-day music festival July 29-30 2023 featuring an impressive line-up of six bands, local craft beer and wine, and an activity alley just for kids. Local rock band Wake the Neighbors will kick off the live music festival on Saturday morning, featuring a set of covers by the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, the Foo Fighters, and more. Next on stage will be Other People’s Money, a high-energy tribute to Classic Rewindz. Saturday’s lineup will close with In Living Cover, an exciting dance band serving up live party music and a whole lot of fun. On Sunday, the music festival will continue with the Bay Area’s premier Pink Floyd tribute band, House of Floyd. Then, get ready to rock when Tinman takes the stage with the greatest classic rock dance hits from the 60’s to the 90s. Closing out the music festival on Sunday is Tortilla Soup, a 9-piece band covering pop, R&B, Latin, country, and blues music from a wide variety of top artists.

 

4. CA Garlic Festival

Join us for the 2nd Annual California Garlic Festival on August 5th & 6th. The California Garlic Festival has something for everyone! The two-day safe, family-friendly event will feature home-based direct selling, commercial, small business and arts & crafts vendors. There will be additional exhibits to check out through the festival grounds. The photography contest will showcase moments capturing sports, animals, portraits, landscapes and garlic! The treasured favorite, Loveicchio's will have it traditional stand offering a variety of local produce and fruits for purchase. The car show will display an assortment of Classic, Muscle, Trucks, Motorcycles and Vintage cars. 

 

5. Outside Lands

Outside Lands is a music, food and art festival held annually in at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Outside Lands 2023 will mark the 15th anniversary of the festival, with a stacked lineup of performers as well as stellar food and drink offerings. Join this year from August 11-13 2023. The festival is one of the biggest in the United States and not only brings some of the world's best musical acts to the Bay Area, but also offers festivalgoers the opportunity to experience some of the area's best restaurants, breweries and wineries all in one place. Outside Lands lists a total of 96 local restaurants in attendance this year, with over 700 different menu items. The Outside Lands Marketplace will also be back, showcasing art and more from local creators.

 

6. Bark at the Park

Get ready for the most pawsome event of the year! The Guardsmen proudly presents "Bark at the Park," an unforgettable experience that combines canine charm, tail-wagging excitement, and a whole lot of fun. Join on August 19th, 2023, at the stunning Civil War Parade Ground in The Presidio, where we'll transform the venue into a canine wonderland that will make tails wag and hearts soar!

 

7. San Carlos R.I.B Festival

The Rotary International Barbecue (R.I.B. Fest) 2023 is a BBQ throwdown, with an international twist. Each team will represent a country, and prepare a BBQ specialty of that cuisine. Proceeds to scholarships and community projects. Join this year on August 26, 2023 at Twin Pines Park in Belmont!
